We are happy to announce that the programme for the GCEG 2015 is now available.
Poster Sessions
The GCEG 2015 poster sessions will take place in the exhibitors hall (North School) at Examination Schools. Posters will be displayed all day and while presenters are not expected to stand by their poster throughout the day, there will be dedicated poster sessions during which presenters will be expected to stand by their posters. Times are 14:20-15:40 on 20, 21 and 22 August. Presenters are welcome to present on all days unless you have registered to attend the conference for one day only, in which case your presentation will be held on the day you registered for.

For Students! How to get published - Session by Kay McArdle, Elsevier - 8:30-9:50
Kay McArdle is a Publisher of Geography, Planning and Development journals at the publishing house Elsevier, here in Oxford. She manages a portfolio of 20 academic journals in this disciplinary field, including Geoforum, which is present at this conference. During this session, Kay will talk you through the basics of getting your paper published in a journal. Ideal for graduate students, the workshop guides you through all the essential stages of manuscript preparation, including background information on the publishing industry as a whole. The majority of the session looks at manuscript structure, from your title and keywords, right through to the conclusion and references. There will also be a brief introduction to using correct scholarly language – particularly useful for non-native English speakers. By the end of the session, all the essential criteria will have been covered to make sure your paper can be a success! There will be plenty of time for questions at the end.
